East LA Rising has served East Los Angeles youth since 1950, creating safe spaces where young people discover their potential and develop the skills to lead. We build comprehensive programs in mentorship, academics, arts, athletics, and life skills that equip teens and children to become confident changemakers in their communities and beyond.
Since 1950, East LA Rising has understood that young people thrive when they're heard, trusted, and given real responsibility. We don't follow short-term trends or quick-fix approaches. Instead, we build programs grounded in the lived experience of the youth and families we serve.
Our programs are designed with East LA at the center. We listen first-sitting down with young people, families, and community partners to shape what we offer. We commit to sustained investment, not one-off initiatives. Every program is built to inspire youth to lead with passion and purpose, equipping them to create positive change in their own neighborhoods.
Deeper roots. Stronger outcomes. True to our community.
For over 75 years, East LA Rising has developed young leaders through sustained, evidence-based programs. Each initiative is designed to inspire youth to lead with passion and purpose-equipping them with skills, mentorship, and community to create positive change.
Since 1950, East LA Rising has equipped young people with the skills, confidence, and support to discover their purpose and drive positive change in their communities.
Since 1950, East LA Rising has thrived because of passionate community members, dedicated volunteers, and generous supporters. Here's how you can inspire youth to lead with passion and purpose.
East LA Rising runs its own programs at two clubhouses in East Los Angeles: the Clubhouse at 324 N. McDonnell Avenue and Nueva Maravilla at 4919 E. Cesar Chavez Avenue. Our staff and teen Youth Leaders work with young people every school day, and partners such as Manchester City's Cityzens Giving and Nexen Tires help fund programs like Health Goals.
